Wyoming is full of tourist attractions to please all.  Nature lovers will love the beautiful views and many nature parks.  History buffs will find a variety of Wild West experiences.  Below is a sampling of activities available in Wyoming.

CHEYENNE-  Botanic Gardens-   Located at 710 S. Lions Park Dr.  Eight beautiful acres.  Picnicking is permitted.  Conservatory Hours:  Mon - Fri 8a - 4:30p, Sat 11a - 3:30p. CLOSED Sunday & holidays.  The Grounds are open from dawn - dusk.  Donations appreciated.  For information call:  307.637.6458

CHEYENNE-  Cheyenne Depot Museum-   Located at 121 W. 15th Street.  The former Union Pacific Railroad Depot has been restored and now houses the Cheyenne Depot Museum.   It is full of displays and interactive activities highlighting railroad history.  Hours:  Mon - Sat 9 - 5 & Sun 11 - 4 (Oct - Apr); Mon - Fri 9 - 6, Sat 9 - 5 & Sun 11 - 5 (May - Sept).  For information call:  307.632.3905

CHEYENNE-  F.E. Warren AFB Museum-   Located at Bldg 210 on Warren AFB.  A history of base life.   Hours:  Mon - Fri 8a - 4p.  For information call:  307.773.2980.

CHEYENNE-  Historic Governor's Mansion   Located at 300 E. 21st, Cheyenne.  Home of the Wyoming Governor from 1905 - 1976.  Recently renovated.   FREE (donations appreciated).   Hours:  Tues - Sat 9a - 5p.  For information call:  307.777.7878

CHEYENNE-  State Capitol-   Located on Capitol Ave, between 24th St and 25th St.  FREE.  Hours:  Mon - Fri 8 - 5.  For information call:  307.777.7220

CHEYENNE-  Wyoming State Museum-   Located at 2301 Central Ave, Cheyenne.  Showcases Wyoming history.  Includes a kids' room.  FREE.  Summer Hours (May - Oct):  Mon - Sat 9a - 4:30p. Winter Hours (Nov - Apr): Mon - Fri 9a - 4:30p, Sat 10a - 2p.  For information call:  307.777.7022

CODY-  Buffalo Bill Historical Center-   Located at jct of US 14/16/20 and 720 Sheridan Ave.  Has a large museum highlighting the history and traditions of the American West.  Also has a research library.  Hours:
8 - 6 Daily (May - Sept 15)
8 - 5 Daily (Sept 16 - Oct 31)
10 - 5 Daily (Nov & Mar - Apr)
10 - 5 Thurs - Sun (Dec - Feb)

CODY-  Tecumseh's Old West Miniature Village and Museum-   Located on US 14/16/20.  Has displays of American Indian and Old Western artifacts.  Admission $3, ages 7 - 18 $1. Hours: 8 -8 (Mid-May - Mid Sept), call for hours for remainder of year.   For information call:  307.587.5362

DOUGLAS-  Wyoming Pioneer Memorial Museum-   Located on Center Street at the state fairgrounds.  Full of Old West and American Indian artifacts.  There is a research library and a one room schoolhouse on the grounds.  FREE.   Hours:  Mon - Fri 8a - 5p;  during June - Sept it is also open Sat 1p - 5p.  For information call:  307.358.9288

GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK-   Located:  North Entrance is north of Jackson on US 26/89/191.  East Entrance is at Moran Junction on US 26/287.  485 square miles of mountains, valleys, lakes, glaciers and forests.   Admission $25 for private vehicle (for Grand Teton and nearby Yellowstone for 7 days).    For information and each visitor center's hours of operation call:

GUERNSEY-  Oregon Trail Ruts State Historic Site-   Located on S. Wyoming Ave, 1 mile south of jct US 26.  See examples of 19th century pioneer trails including preserved ruts and footpaths.  Self guided. For information call: 307.864.2176.

LARAMIE-  American Heritage Center-   Located at 22nd St and Willet Dr. Part of University of Wyoming.  Has changing displays of art as well as a variety of rare books and manuscripts. FREE.    For information call:  307.766.1121

NEWCASTLE-  Accidental Oil Co.-   Located at 297 US 16.  Guided tours show the history of this rare hand-dug oil well.  Part of the tour is 24 feet below ground.  Admission is Free. For information call:  307.746.2042

SARATOGA-  Saratoga National Fish Hatchery-   Located 1.5 miles east of SR 130 on CR207 then follow the signs.  The hatchery produces a variety of trout eggs.  FREE.  Hours:  Daily 8a - 4p.   For information call:  307.326.5662

STORY-  Story Fish Hatchery-   Located on SR 194.  This is the oldest operating hatchery in Wyoming (built in 1907/08).    Produces a variety of trout eggs.   FREE.  Hours:  Daily 8a - 5p.     For information call:  307.683.2234

WIND RIVER INDIAN RESERVATIONS-   A variety of activities are offered throughout the year.    For information call:  307.332.3040
