Laramie, Wyoming-
Located 51 miles
northwest of Cheyenne is the quaint town of Laramie. It's
population of 28,000 includes approximately 10,000 students at the
University of Wyoming. Laramie is a great day trip for those
stationed at F. E. Warren AFB. See the beautiful views at Vedauwoo
Recreation Area. Or see the restored 1872 Wyoming Territorial
Prison State Historic site in Wyoming Territorial Park. History
buffs and nature lovers will enjoy a trip to Laramie!
Fort Collins, Colorado-
The college town of Fort
Collins is 46 miles south of Cheyenne. This full size city,
population 128,000, offers a complete variety of restaurants and
shopping. It is home to Colorado State University, and boasts 40
parks within the city and 23 miles of trails! Nearby Cache
le Poudre Canyon is a favorite for fishing, whitewater rafting,
horseback riding and mountain biking.
