OK, I am here --- now what?
Arrival at a new Base is an exciting but
worrisome time. Information on your new assignment will be the key to making your first
days at Minot AFB a pleasant experience. There are numerous resources which offer bits of
information but we will place valuable information in one location so you can easily
navigate through the arrival process.

Airport
Often a member of your gaining
unit, or your sponsor, will meet you at the airport. If you choose to drive
yourself: Exit the airport northwest on Airport Rd. Turn
right onto US-83 / N. Broadway (about .1 miles from the airport).
Follow for about 11 miles to main base entrance (you will pass the south
entrance).

From Minot follow US-83 / N.

Inbound personnel should try to make reservations at least 30 days in
advance. Stay may be up to 30 days; space permitting.
Pets are not allowed in TLF.
In-Processing
Your Commander’s support staff
is the check in point for all officers and enlisted airmen upon arrival
to Minot AFB. You will report to the your briefings which will be given
to you by your commanders support staff. If you have any specific
questions, please call 701.723.3950.
The duty uniform is worn during in-processing at Minot AFB. You will
need enough uniforms for the six days you will be with the detachment.
Do not forget to bring your personnel records including medical, dental
and financial when checking in. A billeting assignment, bedding and a
temporary meal card for those not on rations will be assigned to you
once you have checked in.
Your family is welcome to stay at the Minot AFB Lodge/Sakakawea Inn in
temporary housing. Reservations can be made in advance of arrival by
calling 701.727.6161. If they are full please refer to hotels off Minot
AFB.
