So many important new details to figure out so we are here to help! Take a few minutes to browse through some of the information we think is valuable for you to know upon arrival in Salt Lake City.

**Hill's primary telephone prefix is 801.777.XXXX and it's DSN is 777.XXXX.

**Drivers on Hill AFB may not use cell phones unless vehicle is parked or a hands free device is being used. 

**Hill AFB is home to these major units:  75th Air Base Wing, 419th Fighter Wing, 309th Maintenance Wing, 84th Combat Sustainment Wing, and 388th Fighter Wing.

**Mail delivery address for arriving personnel who do not have a permanent address:

Your sponsor will need to present a copy of your orders at the postal center to notify them to hold your mail.  Pick up your mail upon arrival at the base.

**Hill Military Taxi is available for official travel to and from the airport.  For info:  801.777.1843

**Vehicles can remain licensed in member's home state.

**Before registering your vehicle on the base you must have it inspected at an authorized center.  Take the certification, title (or registration) and proof of insurance to Pass & ID (Bldg 1219)

**The speed limit on base is 25 mph unless otherwise specified.  The speed limit in base housing is 20 mph.

**Many schools in Davis School District are on a year round school year.

**Pets are allowed in base housing but must be registered within 72 hours.

**Utah has the highest literacy rate in the US.

**Those living on Hill AFB must register their firearms within 72 hours.  Register at 75th Security Forces Squadron, Bldg 1219.
